How can you make your wedding day memorable and stand out? Here are activities that can be incorporated to make the day even more memorable.
A Favorite Proctor Farm tradition
A favorite tradition at a Proctor Farm wedding is the firing of our cannon. The cannon is usually fired after the ceremony and signals the beginning of the celebration for the newly married couple. Before the cannon is fired, all guests go to the courtyard immediately after the ceremony, and an announcement is made so you know to hold your ears (or use provided ear plugs!). Where did the cannon come from? A Proctor Farm security guard, who was a former police officer, brought it to the farm.
Lawn games like cornhole, giant Jenga, and horseshoes can be set up for the wedding party early in the day of the wedding or for guests to play during cocktail hour or the reception.
At the end of the night, a cozy bonfire can be set up outside of our dance hall, complete with s’mores and blankets for guests to snuggle up in. For guests who need a rest from dancing, this is a perfect quiet evening activity.

Serve fresh farm-to-table food and drinks, highlighting the local produce around Rome, GA and ingredients. We have a list of preferred vendors that we’d love to share with you.
End the night with a group dance, complete with a live band or DJ playing tunes that will get everyone on the dance floor.
